Shore Pilates was established in 2010 by Georgina Sayer, and was the first fully equipped Pilates Studio to open in Bournemouth. We are situated on Southbourne Coast Road, a stones throw from the seafront. Our upstairs studio commands spectacular views stretching from The Purbecks, across the Bay of Bournemouth, to the Isle of Wight. Our studio provides a calm and tranquil environment in which to relax and train. We offer a range of group mat classes for all levels, taught by skilled Pilates teachers, all certified with with either Body Control Pilates or the Pilates Foundation. We also have state-of-the-art specialised Pilates apparatus  for tailored private lessons.

Experienced Teachers

Although all of our teachers are trained to a high level, we continue to further our knowledge with ongoing workshops, courses and study.


Fully Equipped Studio

As well as group Mat classes we also offer Pilates equipment sessions. The spring loaded resistance can create support and feedback for a beginner or challenge even the most advanced client!


Regular classes for all levels

Our range of classes cater for all levels and experience, plus special back care classes. We also offer a range of Yoga classes including pre-natal.


A Healthy Body and Mind

Pilates will make you stronger, more toned, flexible and better aligned, with improved posture and mobility. It is also great for relaxation and stress relief.

Special classes

Weather permitting we also run special classes of beach Pilates on Southbourne beach and Stand Up Paddleboard Pilates in Christchurch Harbour. Enquire with Georgina or your teacher for more details.

  • Georgina is a thoughtful and enthusiastic Pilates teacher with a great sense of humour. Our one-to-two sessions are challenging but fun, with exercises tailored to our individual needs and abilities.   • I have been doing pilates with Georgina for around 10 years. I started because of various neck and back problems and quickly found it helped with these. I carried on because it seemed to do so much more than this. I love the focus and relaxation effect and come out of classes feeling serene. I’ve found Georgina a great teacher and feel really lucky to have found her. She is easy to follow, clear, challenging and fun. Every session is different and geared to however I am on that occasion as well as taking heed of all my particular body foibles. My pilates is one part of my schedule I don’t ever want to change!

  • I started a class at Shore Pilates two years ago in an attempt to close the gap between my rectus abdominus muscle that I had, four years after giving birth to my second child. Georgina started me with a one-to-one and then slotted me into an appropriate class. Over the two years I have been gradually building strength in my abdominal muscles and have now been told by a surgeon that I no longer have this gap and that these muscles are actually quite strong. I am no longer facing surgery and just need to keep up the Pilates. Thank you Georgina!
