Pilates & Slings
“Slings” refers to our fascial system. Fascia is a connective tissue that surrounds and interconnects muscles, bones, organs and other structures. It plays a crucial role in maintaining structural integrity, transmitting forces and facilitating movement. Muscles and fascia work together but we can use certain training techniques to improve the quality of our fascia. A Pilates and Slings class is a wonderful combination of the strong, controlled movements you are used to in a Pilates class combined with the multidirectional, rhythmical, massaging, spiralling movements you learn to spotlight your fascial system as well. Most importantly it makes you feel amazing!!
